Hi there, I’m Samantha!

A little about me… I attended college at the University of South Florida in Tampa, where I received my bachelor’s degree in english literature and my master’s degree in elementary education. I began teaching first grade in 2007 and started sharing some of my classroom ideas on Instagram in 2014 under the name @mrshenryinfirst. I’m passionate about primary education (with a deep love for first & second grade) and I’m always looking for engaging ways to get kids excited about learning! I’m mom to two boys, a spunky little chihuahua, and currently reside in East Nashville.
